Single Parent Ministry

"I want to thank Damascus Road Ministries for helping me throughout the year with spiritual guidance, prayer, and monetary assistance.  My journey that led me to this testimony is after adopting several orphaned children and being in a good place in my life, I lost my job.  As a result, my vehicle was repossessed and my home placed in foreclosure.  I continued to have challenges resulting from a domino effect of losing my job. These losses placed a tremendous burden on my household financially and wore on my spirit.  I want to thank God for Damascus Road ministries who restored hope and strength in me and my family throughout this ordeal".

Isaiah 1:17, says “Learn to do right; seek justice and defend the oppressed and take up the cause of the fatherless.  As believers in GOD, caring for orphans is a reflection of God's heart, as highlighted in James 1:27, which teaches that true religion involves looking after orphans.  God deeply cares for the vulnerable. By caring for orphans, we at Damascus Road ministries align ourselves with God's love, justice, and mercy, embodying His compassion and ensuring that our faith is lived out in practical ways.

Mentoring

Mentoring young men is a vital responsibility rooted in the teachings of the Bible, particularly in the Book of Titus. Paul urges Titus to guide the church in living out the gospel through right conduct, emphasizing that older men should model temperance, self-control, and faith. This mentorship involves not only teaching but also setting an example of godly living, ensuring that younger men are equipped and spiritually mature to carry forward character, discipline and a righteous lifestyle.   

 

Homeless Street Ministry 

Damascus Road Ministries is on the move in Washington D.C. ministering to the homeless by providing spiritual guidance and prayer along with monetary support and health and comfort items. 

Proverbs 19:17 states, "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done".

Children Ministry ~ International Ministry

"U helping these kids so much and bring joy to their Christmas. They are very grateful 🙂 It is their very first time to shop inside the mall. So they kinda felt intimidated. You are a blessing to these children Jo. Kids will definitely feel excited for their school christmas party for having a new complete set of clothes and shoes.
